At the core of the Artica system is a Thermal Battery that stores energy when it is freely available and releases it when it is needed. The Thermal Battery uses the latent heat property of materials to store large amounts of energy.

The system takes advantage of the natural temperature difference between day and night. At night the Artica unit draws in cool outside air and passes it over the thermal batteries to charge them.

During the day the Artica unit will monitor both air quality and temperature within the room, as either of these changes the unit will supply fresh air and / or cooling to the space.

In the winter the system works in reverse removing warm stuffy air from the environment and transferring that warmth to cool fresh air coming in.

Throughout the year the Artica system will monitor indoor air quality and ensure a supply of fresh air to create a fresh, healthy and productive space in which to live and work. Filters remove dust, pollutants and allergens from the air.
